Kidder Mathews' Mike King Wins "Battle of the Bids" Competition

Kidder Mathews’ Mike King Wins “Battle of the Bids” Competition

Kidder Mathews Senior Vice President Mike King, CCIM, won the $1 million grand prize in Ten-X’s first-ever “Battle of the Bids” competition. The contest, dubbed the “first gamification of commercial real estate”, was held on Ten-X’s digital sales platform and attracted 15,000 CRE professionals. King will also donate $100,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound.

The grand prize was determined by total points earned throughout the competition which began in April. King accumulated 35,800 points by most accurately guessing the sales price of real properties sold at auction on the Ten-X platform. His accuracy rate was 92.71%.

“We hope our players had as much fun winning over $3 million as we did giving it away. Hats off to Mike King, he really knows CRE,” said Ten-X President Steve Jacobs.

Said King, “When we told the kids that I won, they asked immediately about a trip to Disneyland.”
