Kick Axe Comes to Gowanus
Kick Axe, an indoor axe throwing entertainment venue, will be opening soon in a 7,000-square-foot warehouse space at 622 Degraw St. in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn.
“Kick Axe is an example of the type of creative and recreational tenants leasing warehouse space today,” said Brad Cohen, senior director for Eastern Consolidated, who with Jacob Tzfanya, Alex Geisinger and Jon Kamali represented the landlord in the transaction. The tenant, Escape Room Live, was represented by Eddie Mamiye of RKF.
Kick Axe will offer beer, wine, soda, water, and tea and a limited menu — in addition to axe throwing… which according to the Kick Axe website is both safe and fun. Other locations are planned for Washington D.C., Austin, Orlando, Los Angeles, Seattle, and San Francisco.
“Kick Axe is one of several recreational and entertainment venues flourishing in Gowanus. Other examples of this trend include Brooklyn Fencing, Brooklyn Boulders Gowanus, Crossfit South Brooklyn and Homage Skateboard Academy,” said Geisinger.
