KFC Serves Up 15-Year Ground Lease

Progressive Real Estate Partners senior retail specialist Albert Lopez represented the landlord in a 15-year ground lease with KFC for an approximately 3,273-square-foot drive-thru restaurant at 1851 E. G St. in Ontario. Charlie Cangelosi with Irish Commercial represented KFC in the transaction.

KFC has already commenced construction and is renovating the building to reflect the brand’s most current prototype and is expected to open by mid-2024. The franchisee, Restaurant Brands, is the largest KFC operator in Southern California with 70-plus locations.

According to Lopez, “The property’s prime location, coupled with the neighboring In-N-Out Burger’s expansion, made it an ideal spot for KFC’s growth in the area and we look forward to their opening in 2024.”
