Kerbey Lane Café Coming to Mueller Development

The Kerbey Lane Café, known for its queso and pancakes among other comfort-food offerings, will be opening its eighth location in the Mueller mixed-use development of Central Austin. The 5,650-square-foot restaurant will be on the ground floor of the $50 million Texas Mutual Insurance Co. building that is being built between Garcia and Philomena Streets. Opening is expected for fall 2018.

Catellus is the developer of Mueller, the former 700-acre site of the Robert Mueller Municipal Airport. According to Catellus’ Greg Weaver, Kerbey Lane is “quintessential Austin.” “I know the restaurant will be a huge draw for Mueller, simply based on how often we’ve heard from people who work, live and visit Mueller about how much they want Kerbey’s famous queso or pancakes here,” he told the Austin American-Statesman.
