Kennington Commercial Revamps Flex Industrial to Retail
Kennington Commercial is transitioning a total of 122,363 square feet of flex industrial space to retail usage. The Farmers Branch, TX properties in question, Alpha Plaza (4885-4887 Alpha Rd.) and Midway Center (14430-14476 Midway Rd.) are within close proximity to the Dallas Galleria. Both properties are also close to 1,000 planned multifamily units and an Aloft Hotel.
The changes will include adding sit-down restaurant spaces to both properties, and white-boxing 5,021 square feet in Alpha Plaza and 10,133 square feet in Midway Center. Leigh Richter and Paul Richter with Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services are leasing the properties.
“We are in the process of re-tenanting. We have renewed some flex tenants, but the plan is to transition both properties to true retail as expediently as we can,” Leigh Richter said.
