KDC Breaks Ground on 130K-SF Shell Data Center
Developer KDC officially broke ground on its most recent project, a 130,000-square-foot powered shell data center in Richardson, TX. The center, which will be situated along the Telecom Corridor, will be south of KDC’s 186-acre, mixed-use CityLine development. The project at 1510 E. Lookout Dr. near Plano Road and Lookout Drive, has a summer 2019 completion date.
Alliance Architects is designing the project, and Ridgemont is the general contractor. The new data center will feature
- 190-MPH wind-resistant design
- On-site substation for robust power and short electrical feeder runs
- More than 20 network fiber carriers
- Personal property tax abatement (city of Richardson) to span 10 years
