KCETLink Subleases 25K-SF to The Switch in Burbank

KCETLink Media Group subleased 24,700 square feet of space to The Switch on the 5th floor of KCETLink’s facilities at The Pointe in Burbank, CA. Additionally, The Switch will take over as the outsourced provider of all broadcast origination, master control and technical services to KCET and Link TV.

The Pointe is a 480,645-square-foot, Class A office building at 2900 W. Alameda Ave., owned by Worthe.

The move reflects the seismic changes happening in the broadcast transmission business across the nation. It will allow KCET to invest in its core mission of creating content for all its diverse communities across SoCal.

The deal includes the acquisition of the master control assets, production (studio and remote) facilities and certain satellite transmission assets, though not including any of the FCC licensed transmission facilities towers on Mt. Wilson.

JLL’s Carl Muhlstein and Nicole Mihalka represented KCETLink in the sublease.
