Katy Site for Greystar’s First Houston-Area BTR Project

While Greystar Real Estate Partners has developed 50 build-to-rent communities nationwide, the Summerwell Sunterra in Katy will be its first in the Houston Metro area. The project will be fitted inside Starwood Land’s 2,300-acre master-planned community. Greystar expects to have the first homes ready for lease in the first half of 2024.

It will include 156 three- and four-bedroom detached homes and townhomes. Residents will have access to Sunterra’s amenities, including the planned Crystal Lagoon and The Retreat, a $12 million amenity area featuring a pool, water slide, lazy river, splash pad, fitness center, playground, soccer field and tennis courts.

Across the Houston area, Greystar is known for managing apartment complexes. The company lists nearly 200 Houston-area apartment communities.
