Karma Auto Embraces Bixby’s Amenity-Rich Workspace

Newport Beach, CA-based Bixby Land Company sold the former Kawasaki USA HQ building in Irvine, CA to Karma Automotive for $56.3 million. The luxury hybrid plug-in vehicle manufacturer previously leased the 262,463-square-foot space in August 2016.

Bixby initially acquired the project, located at 9950 Jeronimo Rd., with plans for a major repositioning into a dynamic workplace called Habitat that would appeal to larger companies.

Bixby’s Bill Halford says, “Our proposed redesign for Habitat revealed the extent to which a significant repositioning could transform the project into a unique and amenity-rich work environment.”

Karma is underway with its own designs for the new HQ location, including a Branded Experience Center for its new Revero luxury sedan and employee amenities.

CBRE’s Gregg Haly and Jeff Carr represented Bixby, while Karma Automotive was represented by HeathWest Realty’s Kevin Leonard.
