Karen Davis Krzynowek Cancer Center in Hartford Reopens
Johnson Memorial Hospital celebrated the reopening of the Karen Davis Krzynowek Cancer Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The $6 million construction and renovation project, spanning 14 months, expanded the cancer center by 5,500 square feet.
The project consolidated all outpatient cancer services, including Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and physician offices. The upgrades include private Medical Oncology infusion bays with personal televisions and space for family or friends.
This expansion aligns with a larger $40 million project to establish a comprehensive outpatient services hub on the Enfield campus. “At Johnson Memorial Hospital, we keep our patients at the center of everything we do,” said Robert Roose, M.D., M.P.H., chief administrative officer, Johnson Memorial Hospital. “This important project will increase coordination of care by bringing all of Johnson’s outpatient cancer care programs into one collaborative space.”
