Kaiser’s Murrieta Surgery Center Expects Completion in 2022
Kaiser Permanente recently broke ground on an 88,900-square-foot ambulatory surgery center at Keller Road near Mapleton Avenue in Murrieta. The center is expected to be completed in November 2022.
The surgery facility will offer outpatient surgical procedures that do not require overnight hospital stays. The services/departments offered at the center will include general surgery, gastroenterology, oncology, pain intervention, ophthalmology and orthopedics services.
The surgery center will bring approximately 200 new jobs to Murrieta. The project is part of the existing Kaiser Permanente medical campus at 28150 Keller Rd. that opened in 2017 with medical offices, urgent care and pharmacy services.
Once built out at 824,500 square feet, the campus at the 37-acre site is slated to feature a 254-bed hospital with surface and structure parking proposed for late 2023. The center will feature six operating rooms, a 26-bay post-anesthesia care unit, a five-room procedure center, 20 prep/recovery observation bays, 19 provider offices, 34 exam rooms, a 14-bay chemotherapy/infusion center, and imaging services that include MRI and mammography.
Currently, the closest Kaiser hospital is in Riverside. The Murrieta campus adds to other Southwest Riverside County Kaiser facilities including the Kaiser Permanente Wildomar Medical Offices at 36450 Inland Valley Dr. and the Kaiser Permanente Temecula Medical Offices at 27309 Madison Ave.
