Kaiser Permanente Medical School Set for Pasadena
Kaiser Permanente announced last December that it would be opening a medical school in an undisclosed location in 2019. Now, the largest integrated healthcare system in the nation has announced that the school will be built in central Pasadena at 94 S. Los Robles Ave., on land that Kaiser already owns.
Due to its accessibility and proximity to affordable housing, the location offers a diverse community that is also close to Kaiser facilities, where pre-med students will spend time learning.
Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek says, “Pasadena is a dynamic place to live, work and play. We look forward to working with Kaiser Permanente on their plans for this exciting project.”
Groundbreaking is planned for next year, with the first class of students expected in 2019.
