JWA Hotel Set for Reno, Reflag as Hyatt Regency
Beverly Hills, CA-based Newport Hotel Holding LLC is renovating and reflagging its 340-room hotel in Newport Beach, CA. The property is being converted into a Hyatt Regency hotel in early 2018.
Located at 4545 Macarthur Blvd.,across from John Wayne Airport, the renovation is reportedly in the neighborhood of $35 million. The hotel is currently operated as a Carlton property, an affiliated brand to Hyatt, but had previously been flagged as the Radisson Hotel Newport Beach.
The repositioning of the property is in line with several other airport area hotel renovations or new developments under way including the Fairmont Hotel, the Duke Hotel being converted into a Renaissance, the Hyatt House Irvine and Great Far East’s proposed project across the street from the airport.
