Majestic to renovate 54-room Stockyards Hotel

JV to Remodel Historic Stockyards Hotel

A joint venture of Majestic Realty and the Hickman Cos. is planning to spend $20 million to remodel The Stockyards Hotel building. The historic hotel, built in 1907, was bought by the two companies in 2022. It includes the H3 Ranch restaurant and Booger Red’s Saloon.

The Dallas Business Journal reports that work on the 26,500-square-foot hotel at 109 E. Exchange Ave. is expected to begin early next year and last until mid-2026. Developers will demolish the interior, remodel the hotel’s rooms, and freshen up several exterior features.

The hotel has 42 rooms and 10 suites. Room rates range from $199 to $399 a night.

Majestic and its partners are preparing for a $630 million expansion of the Stockyards, set to include adding 300,000 square feet of new commercial space.

Majestic estimates the Stockyards attracts 9 million people a year, a major increase from 2014, when it attracted 3 million people.
