JV to Develop 2.4M-SF Industrial Facility in Savannah

A joint venture of PCCP LLC and Panattoni Development Company Inc. has acquired land for the development of up to 2.4 million square feet of the Savannah Portside International Park in Effingham County, GA. Effingham County is just west of the Savannah city line.

Construction on the first phase of the speculative industrial development has started, which will consist of a 518,400-square-foot, cross-docked building with 40-foot clear heights that is expandable to 1.1 million square feet. The Port of Savannah is the nation’s fastest growing and third-largest container port, with annualized TEU growth of 6.4 percent over the past 10 years.

“This is PCCP’s eleventh industrial equity investment with Panattoni and we are pleased to once again embark with them on a Class A project,” said Ryan Dodge, Senior Vice President at PCCP. “We see this as a strategic development in a high growth market that is experiencing demand from large industrial users.”
