JV Formed to Develop 50-Acre, MXU Parkline

Developer KDC joined forces with Rob Schumacher and Steve Sanders to develop Parkline, a mixed-use development in north San Antonio. The 55-acre project, near University of Texas San Antonio, will offer apartments, retail and restaurant space, office projects and a hotel. Parkline, at University Boulevard and Interstate 10, will be centered around a greenbelt and landscaping tied into the Leon Creek Trail System.

Upon completion, the project will hold one million square feet of office space, 1,149 apartment and townhome units, a 136-room Aloft Hotel and 108,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

“Parkline has been a long time in the making and is about to explode,” said Schumacher of California-based Schumacher Interests. “If you go out there now, you will see new roads, our first phase of apartments, and some substantial dirt work for our second phase that will deliver sites for a new hotel, Starbucks and a retail building.”
