JV Breaks Ground on $125M MXU Hotel Project in Downtown Boston

A joint venture that includes CV Properties, Harbinger and Olshan Properties has broken ground on a new mixed-use hotel and retail development in Downtown Boston. The project will be located across from the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway, near the city’s Haymarket and North End Districts.

Alongside a 212-key Canopy by Hilton hotel, which is being constructed by CV Properties and Harbinger, the project will consist of a total of 12,711 square feet of new retail and restaurant space. In addition to the leased ground floor and second floor outdoor terrace, the second floor of the hotel will feature a 2,000-square-foot bar and restaurant with a retractable glass wall overlooking the North End Greenway’s lush European-style gardens.

All phases of the $125 million development are expected to be completed by the middle of 2021.
