JV Acquires Methuen Property from Sunshine Retirement Living

Sunshine Retirement Living (SRL) has sold The Woods at Merrimack, a senior living community in Methuen, MA, to a joint venture between Capitol Seniors Housing (CSH) and a global alternative asset manager with over $55 billion in assets under management. Terms were not disclosed. Following the sale, SRL will continue to manage the community.

The acquisition represents the first senior living community jointly acquired by CSH and such asset manager, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the two firms as they expand their senior housing investments across the U.S.

“We are proud to continue managing The Woods at Merrimack under its new ownership,” said Luis Serrano, CEO of SRL. “Our team remains deeply committed to delivering exceptional experiences for residents while creating long-term value for our ownership partners. This collaboration with Capitol Seniors Housing and such asset manager highlights the strength and scalability of our management platform.”
