JT Magen Completes Fit-Out of Cartier’s New Chicago Space

JT Magen, a national construction firm, has completed a new two-story retail space for luxury jewelry brand Cartier, which recently relocated to 15 Oak Street in Chicago.

JT Magen served as construction manager for the retail fit-out of Cartier’s new space, overseeing all aspects. The firm also spearheaded the structural design for the base building requirements and those of the storefront. JT Magen collaborated with the Cartier team, Atmosphere Design Group, Henderson Engineering and Turner Townsend on the project.

“We are proud to celebrate the completion of this new luxury retail experience for Cartier in Chicago,” said Vincent Ryan, executive vice president at JT Magen. “Retail build outs are exciting and fast paced, and this project was no different. Several stand-out structural design features will allow Cartier to shine at this new prime location.”

The project entailed an extension of the building’s existing frontage and required a creative structural solution to support the second-story façade during the manufacturing of the panels and custom glazing.
