JPMorgan’s Midtown East Skyscraper Tops Out

JPMorgan Chase’s 270 Park Avenue, designed by Foster + Partners, has completed its steel framework, marking a milestone for the 60-story, net-zero, all-electric skyscraper, standing nearly 1,400 feet tall.

The building will be powered entirely by renewable energy from an upstate hydroelectric plant and boasts advanced eco-friendly features like triple-plane glazing and predictive energy technologies. Offering increased communal spaces and wellness amenities, the tower prioritizes employee well-being. The ground-level design includes outdoor areas, wider sidewalks, a plaza with green space, and neighborhood-focused facilities.

“This project marks a significant milestone in New York’s economic comeback. Built with American-made steel and New York union labor, the new JPMorgan Chase headquarters on Park Avenue will generate economic activity for our state and welcome tens of thousands of workers,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said at Monday’s topping-out event. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
