Jon Paul Pérez Named Related Group President

Jon Paul Pérez has been named president of the Related Group, the Miami-based development giant founded by his father Jorge Pérez in 1979. Most recently EVP, Jon Paul joined the organization in 2012. The senior Pérez will continue as chairman and CEO.

“Each of Related’s developments, from affordable to luxury, are known for catalyzing growth and opportunity and I look forward to continuing this commitment, while expanding the boundaries of what a private developer can accomplish,” said Jon Paul Pérez.

The younger Pérez spearheaded Related’s expansion into Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood with mixed-use projects. Currently he’s working on Solemar in Pompano Beach; a Ritz Carlton on the Tampa waterfront; and some of the nation’s largest affordable housing developments in the Brickell Avenue neighborhood, Miami River and Liberty City.

He’s also working to accelerate the organization’s innovation efforts, which include strategic investments in disruptive technologies, forging industry partnerships and recruiting promising talent.
