John Wayne’s Former Hemet Ranch on the Market for $12M
If you’re looking to live on the same ranch as one of the most famous acting cowboys of all time, now’s your chance. The sprawling Riverside County ranch once owned by John Wayne has been listed for sale at a price of $12 million. The 2,000-acre property is called Rancho Pavoreal, and is located near Hemet, CA.
According to The Orange County Register, The Duke owned the property in the mid-1970’s and would invite friends out for horseback riding, shooting and other ranching activities. The ranch includes a three bedroom, 3,000-square-foot home, a barn and a three-car garage. Other features include three wells, Native American artifacts and stunning views of the surrounding valley and Palomar Mountain.
The Coldwell Banker listing agent says Rancho Pavoreal can be used for camping, hunting, cattle grazing and even motorcycle riding. The last time the ranch was available for sale in 2018, it was actually marketed as a potential pot farm.
