John Buck Co. Shifts Focus to Value-Add

The John Buck Company (JBC) is putting greater emphasis on value-add investment opportunities, and accordingly has made several leadership changes. Re-assuming his previous role, JBC chairman John Buck will become CEO, replacing CEO and director of development Richard Lindsay, who has left to pursue other interests.

“While development remains one of our core strengths, we are particularly excited with our pipeline of value-add turnaround opportunities,” said Buck. “We have chosen to adjust our organization to best position the firm to execute these new transactions. We are proud of the many contributions that Richard made to our development activities during his tenure with the firm, and wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

CIO Kevin Hites has added the title of president, and principal Ben Kochalski has joined the JBC board. Dirk Degenaars and Betsy Traczek maintain their current roles, as JBC COO and Buck Management Group president, respectively.
