JMC Holdings Enters North Texas, Acquires Lakeside Square

JMC Holdings is now the owner of Lakeside Square, an 18-story, 410,000-square-foot office tower in North Dallas. The property at 12377 Merit Dr. is the first North Texas buy for the New York-headquartered JMC Holdings, which is planning to invest $20 million in renovations. The office high-rise was the last Dallas-area building owned by the seller, Younan Properties, which is based in California.

JMC Holdings hired Peloton Commercial Real Estate to handle leasing and management of the tower, which delivered in the mid-1980s. Current tenants include AXA Equitable, Exco Resources, Aethon Energy, WRA Architects and Azure Midstream Energy.

“We were very attracted to the location of Lakeside Square, with access to major thoroughfares, the Park Cities and booming suburbs” said JMC Holdings’ David Taylor. “Now that the 635 construction is complete, Lakeside Square is one of the most accessible and centrally-located office buildings for both decision-makers and employees.”
