JLL’s Robbins Schneider Named to LEED Steering Committee
Dana Robbins Schneider, managing director and national practice lead for JLL Energy and Sustainability Services, has been named a member at-large on the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Steering Committee. The steering committee serves as the governing body of all the organization’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, committees.
“We must continue to demonstrate the business case for investment in intensive efficiency, with a goal of net zero energy, water, and waste and healthy indoor spaces,” said Robbins Schneider.
Robbins Schneider led the team that implemented a whole-building deep energy retrofit of the Empire State Building, which reduced energy use at the Midtown landmark by 40% and provided the foundation for the Urban Land Institute’s Tenant Energy Optimization Program. Along with her team, she has led energy and sustainability assignments at more than 240 million square feet of properties.
