JLL to Lease Up Repositioned Somerset Offices

JLL has been selected by Griffin Capital Essential Asset REIT II as exclusive leasing agent for 30 Independence Blvd., a Warren, NJ office property that formerly was leased in its entirety to Verizon.

Griffin Capital, which acquired the 213,257-square-foot building from Beacon Capital Partners in 2013, has launched a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program to attract multiple users to the formerly single-tenant property.

The JLL team overseeing the new leasing assignment includes Timothy Greiner, Dennis McConnell and Daniel Spero. They will work closely with Scott Tausk, managing director of asset management with Griffin Capital.

“This is a premium asset in one of the most sought-after interchanges (Exit 33) in Somerset County that offers abundant walkable amenities and a proven corporate address,” said McConnell. “Griffin Capital has planned significant renovations to ensure its prominent status in the market going forward.”

The six-story 30 Independence was constructed in 1997.
