JLL Taps Boston’s Timothy Martin to Lead New National Life Sciences Group

JLL Property Management has promoted Timothy Martin to managing director to lead the new US life sciences property management business. Martin, based in Boston, will focus on delivering innovative and consistent management solutions to investors.

Prior to his current role, Martin served as JLL’s group manager for a large institutional investor in East Cambridge, MA. In this position, he led a portfolio of life science, development, commercial office, residential and retail product types and partnered with a team of over 30 property management professionals. He has managed life science assets for nearly 20 years, including BioMed Realty Trust’s Center for Life Science in Boston.

The formation of JLL Property Management’s national life sciences group comes at a time of unparalleled growth within the life sciences sector. According to JLL’s 2021 Life Sciences Lab Real Estate Outlook, early-stage venture capital funding reached $17 billion in the first half of 2021.

Inside The Story

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
