JLL Secures 61K Office Lease in D.C.

JLL has secured a 61,000-square-foot office least at 1201 New York Ave. NW, a 13-story office building owned by Pembroke Real Estate. The 430,000-square-foot building was built in 1989.

Amy Bowser of JLL represented Pembroke in securing the lease with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). The trade association, which represents biotechnology companies plans to relocate from its building in The Portals complex at 1201 Maryland Ave. SW. Manny Fitzgerald, Susan Thomas and Brian Smith of CBRE represented BIO in the lease transaction.

“The new BIO headquarters will serve as an inspiration for the future of innovation and our industries, while providing our members with the comforts and experience of home while in Washington,” said Shaye Mandle, COO at BIO.
