JLL Initiates $150M Redevelopment of Manhattan Village

JLL Retail kicked off a $150-million redevelopment of Manhattan Village Shopping Center, a 44-acre, 573,000-square-foot mixed use property located in Manhattan Beach, CA. The plan includes initially updating and re-merchandising the mall’s interior space.

Future development phases are slated to encompass:
–  The Village Shops, a 53,300-square-foot open-air expansion of curated retail and chef-driven restaurant space, adjacent to the existing enclosed mall.
– Renovation of the existing community center component, anchored by Ralph’s Fresh Fare and CVS Pharmacy.
– Adding amenities that complement the beach city’s environmentally-friendly setting, such as a central plaza, pedestrian and bike-friendly paths, valet service, consolidated and covered parking, lush landscaping and water features.

JLL’s Steve Yenser says the redesign will “rebalance and rejuvenate” Manhattan Village, to ensure it meets future expectations of discerning shoppers in one of the nation’s wealthiest zip codes.
