JLL Hired to Sell Historic Meatpacking Offices

JLL Capital Markets was retained to sell 799 Washington St., a 26,343-square-foot, mixed-use building in Downtown’s Meatpacking District.

The JLL team includes managing directors Paul Smadbeck and Brock Emmetsberger, and associates Conrad Martin, Ryan Kossoy and Braedon Gait. Ownership is requesting proposals.

Originally built as a commercial warehouse in 1910, the six-story building features five floors of office space and production studios, and a top-floor loft apartment. It’s a few minutes’ walk from attractions including the High Line and the Gansevoort retail corridor

“This historic corner property is an unparalleled opportunity to own a mixed-use trophy building with flexible zoning in one of Manhattan’s most dynamic submarkets,” said Smadbeck. “799 Washington Street has versatile zoning options, allowing a prospective buyer to maintain the existing mixture of commercial and residential use, or convert the property into a world-class office suite, residential condominiums, or unique trophy property for a high-end owner-occupant.”
