JLL Data Center Report: Northern Virginia Still Leads

JLL’s recently released a data center report for the second half of the financial year. Report shows that once again, Northern Virginia is at the top of the US data center market list. The region has experienced a record-breaking 2022, absorbing more than a gigawatt in the last three years.

In 2023, 163 megawatts of multi-tenant data center (MTDC) inventory and 203 megawatts of single-tenant inventory were delivered. The region also saw its third straight year of record absorption, with 479 megawatts absorbed in 2022.

Despite concerns over power delivery timelines, hyper scalers are still making large commitments to the area. Northern Virginia’s strong data center market is expected to continue its growth and dominance in the coming years, according to JLL’s report.
