JLL Brokers $10M Sale of Charlotte Shopping Center

JLL has arranged the $9.9 million sale of Lancer Center, a 178,626-square-foot regional shopping center anchored by KJ’s Market in the Charlotte-area community of Lancaster, S.C.

Lancer Center was constructed in 1983 and most recently renovated in 2013. The 97% leased center is home to a tenant roster that includes KJ’s Market, Big Lots!, Harbor Freight Tools, CitiTrends, Badcock Furniture, Hibbett Sports, Kid’s First Dental and PetSense. Situated on nearly 20 acres at 1256 Highway 9 Bypass W along Lancaster’s main retail corridor, Lancer Center is nearby downtown Lancaster and adjacent to the University of South Carolina – Lancaster.

Tom Kolarczyk of JLL represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. The buyer was Medalist Diversified REIT. In addition, a JLL Debt and Equity Placement team secured a five-year, fixed-rate acquisition loan on behalf of the buyer.
