Jim Batjer Departs HFF, Joins CBRE
Real estate veteran Jim Batjer ended his 23-year tenure at HFF, joining CBRE’s Dallas office as Executive Vice President. In his new position, Batjer is partnering with Chris Cozby (Dallas-Fort Worth) and Mark Witcher (Houston) to focus on acquisition and disposition of large-scale retail and mixed-use developments in Texas and the Southwest.
While at HFF, Batjer was Senior Managing Director, where he was involved with real estate asset sales for major corporate, institutional and entrepreneurial owners. His 30-year career includes positions with the Bradford Cos. and Harry B. Lucas Cos.
“The addition of Jim to our already leading institutional retail properties team is a game-changer for the market and our clients,” said Michael Caffey, CBRE President, South-Central Division. “His knowledge of the retail landscape throughout the Southwest, and his relationships with key institutional clients, will further CBRE’s momentum in the retail investment sales sector.”
