JetAccess to Take Over New Hangars at Dallas Executive Airport
It’s taken a while for the Dallas Executive Airport (DEA) to take off, but now a new group is taking over a large space. Aviation management company JetAccess plans to take over all 80,000 square feet of a new project on the southwest side of Dallas Executive Airport, including two hangars and an office building. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2023 and will have one hangar as a permanent operator location and another for maintenance. JetAccess will use the space to store and service corporate and private jets, service its fleet of 40 aircraft and provide flight services to charter companies. JetAccess is also working with four flight schools to train about 400 students.
The $20 million project, which developers hope will spur development at the underutilized Dallas Executive Airport, is six miles south of downtown. DEA has long been a priority project for politicians and city officials due to its location in South Dallas.
