JE Dunn Building $210M Texas Archives

A new 242,000-square-foot Archival and Records Storage Facility will be built in Pflugerville. The $210 million project will be built by JE Dunn Construction and designed by McKinney York Architects. It will house the State and Local Record Management Division’s records storage and imaging center, the Archives and Information Services Division’s collection processing space and archival records storage.

This new modern archival center will replace the existing storage facility on Shoal Creek Boulevard in Austin with almost double the storage capacity while reserving space for future growth on the new campus.

Besides JE Dunn and McKinney York, the state hired Broaddus USA as the project management firm to support the team. Together, these firms have developed an aggressive timeline for the completion of the new facility by the fall of 2027.
