JCB to open $250M plant in San Antonio

JCB Chooses San Antonio for $265M Equipment Manufacturing Plant

JCB, the world’s largest privately owned construction and agricultural equipment maker, will build a new facility to produce telescopic handlers and aerial work platforms in San Antonio. The project is expected to create more than $265 million in capital investment. It is also expected to bring more than 1,500 jobs to the Alamo City through 2028.

The company plans to build a 720,000-square-foot facility on a still undisclosed 400-acre site. The project is set to break ground in 2024.

JCB, which was founded just after World War II manufactures more than 300 products.

The expected impact on the local economy will be $30 billion over the next 10 years.
