Jane Street Capital Upsizes to Nearly 1M SF at Brookfield Place

Quantitative trading firm Jane Street Capital has renewed and expanded its lease at Brookfield Asset Management’s 250 Vesey St. in Lower Manhattan to nearly one million square feet, according to published reports. Jane Street has been a tenant at the office property, part of the Brookfield Place complex, since 2014.

Bloomberg News and the New York Post first reported last October that Jane Street sought to expand its New York City office, the company’s largest. Already occupying roughly 500,000 square feet at 250 Vesey, the firm considered growing its footprint by taking space at the neighboring 300 Vesey St., according to the Post.

A Brookfield team of Duncan McCuaig, Mikael Nahmias, Hayley Shoener and Daniel Roberts handled the deal on behalf of ownership, while Robert Lowe, Gus Field and Jon Herman of Cushman & Wakefield represented Jane Street, published reports say. Jane Street declined to comment.
