Jamestown Sells Stake in Georgetown Renaissance Portfolio in DC

Jamestown has sold its stake in The Georgetown Renaissance Portfolio, a retail and residential collection, to co-owner Acadia Realty Trust. The portfolio consists of more than 318,000 square feet, distributed across 22 buildings in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood and Alexandria, Virginia.

The Georgetown Renaissance Portfolio includes retail as well as boutique office spaces and apartments. Jamestown acquired its stake in the portfolio in 2011. “Georgetown has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade, evolving into a destination for design-driven retail,” said Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown. “The Georgetown Renaissance Portfolio exemplifies this shift, having become an integral part of the neighborhood’s distinctive retail ecosystem.”

Jamestown owns and manages several properties in the area, including the neighboring Georgetown Park, a 325,000-square-foot mixed-use property. The Atlanta-based firm also owns America’s Square, a two-building office complex near the U.S. Capitol; one Metro Center, an office building in the East End; the Ellington, a residential property; and Ballston Exchange, a two-building office and retail complex in Arlington.
