Jamestown Acquires Southern Dairies Property in Old Fourth Ward for $35M
Real estate investment and development company Jamestown has acquired the Southern Dairies project in Old Fourth Ward for $34.5 million. The property is located across from Ponce City Market, the firm’s redevelopment of the former Sears Roebuck & Co. building.
The Southern Dairies campus was redeveloped into an adaptive reuse project in the late 90s. The four-acre property was once the largest dairy in Georgia. Due in large part to the Beltline Eastside Trail, the Old Fourth Ward area has recently emerged as a hot spot for major Atlanta companies.
The seller was Southern Dairies Partners LLC, which is headed by Markham Smith. The firm makes its headquarters in one of the Southern Dairies buildings.
