Jack Bell to Transform Wells Fargo Building
Jack Bell of Jack Bell Properties is the new owner of the iconic eight-story Wells Fargo Building in downtown Denton, TX.
Bell noted his relationship to the property. “I grew up in the building. I’ve been in this building and did business here with First State Bank and was a shareholder,” Bell told the Denton Record-Chronicle. “I’ve come here since I was a teenager.”
While the property will keep its name, much of the interiors will experience an overhaul. The mixed-use makeover could result in a parking garage, office space, multifamily units and a boutique hotel.
Denton-based broker Chip Sargent completed the deal with seller Wells Fargo. Wells Fargo will lease nearly 15,000 square feet of the 1963-built property, conducting its own renovations on the first floor.
