J.P. DiNapoli Unveils Striking Design for San Jose Office Tower
San Jose-based J.P. DiNapoli Cos. Inc. unveiled the design for Almaden Boulevard Tower, a proposed 20-story office development in downtown San Jose. The 781,000-square-foot project is proposed on a vacant parking lot at 95 S. Almaden Ave. on a stretch of Almaden Boulevard that’s undergoing a revitalization.
The striking bronze façade clad tower features six landscaped terraces for outdoor tenant collaboration, recreation or dining. The building’s skin of triangular louver panels and horizontal slats are angled to let light and air through, and are positioned to provide shade, prevent glare and filter daylight.
J.P. DiNapoli’s John DiNapoli says, “We feel the building’s design will be a great addition to a dynamic and growing downtown San Jose.”
An affiliate of J.P. DiNapoli, Sequoia Del Rey, bought the roughly one-acre site from AT&T-owned Pacific Bell Telephone Company for $35.65 million last December. The site is near freeways, transit connections, as well as cultural and entertainment districts.
