J.M. Smucker Reported 1M-SF Tenant at Southport Logistics Park
On April 16, Logistics Property Co. LLC reported that it inked a 1.1-million-square-foot deal with “an iconic American consumer packaged goods manufacturer” for its Southport Logistics Park in the South Dallas County city of Wilmer, TX. According to the Dallas Morning News, that manufacturer is J.M. Smucker Co., which has been looking at the market for a new warehouse location. The newspaper obtained its sources from “real estate brokers who’ve been tracking the mega transaction.”
The new warehouse building, at 1200 Fulghum Rd., south of downtown Dallas, is one of two that Logistics Property owns in the 252-acre park. Upon buildout, the $300-million park will hold upwards of 3.5 million square feet.
Allen Gump, Lynn Reich and Suzanne Serino, with Colliers International, represented the tenant. CBRE’s Kacy Jones and John Hendricks negotiated on behalf of the landlord and developer.
Logistics Property announced it was marketing the park’s third phase, a 1.2-million-square-foot, speculative, build-to-suit pad.
