Italian Restaurant Sempre Oggi Opens on UWS

Restaurateur Robert Guarino has opened Sempre Oggi, an Italian restaurant, in Upper West Side at 164 W. 75th St, New York Business Journal reported. Spanning 4,500 square feet, the space includes a bar area with 40 seats, a 100-seat dining room, an open kitchen, and handcrafted ceramic tiles on the ceiling.

Guarino’s focus is on creating a menu that showcases the best seasonal ingredients, with a vegetable section that changes daily based on what’s in season, along with house-made pastas and entrees priced from $36 to $49.

The lease for Sempre Oggi is for 15 years, with an asking rent of $146 per square foot. Guarino, in partnership with Simon Oren and Chef Driven Hospitality, aims to infuse new life into a space formerly occupied by Cesca for 17 years.
