Is Your City on the Top 10 List?

If you live in Plano, TX, you are residing in the top city – at least, according to AreaVibes’ “Best Places to Live” 2018 list. Three other Texas cities – El Paso, Irving and Austin – also ended up on the top 10 list, based on factors ranging from amenities to weather.

AreaVibes regularly researches cities throughout the United States, and assigns each one a “Livability Score.” Plano, which was first in 2017 as well, “continues to grow and enjoy economic health thanks to the abundance of companies that call it home,” the AreaVibes analysts said. Meanwhile, El Paso ended up in seventh place due to low cost of living and good employment opportunities, while Irving was number 8 because of its low crime rate and “plentiful amenities.”

Austin, at 10th place, has dropped a spot, though AreaVibes pointed out that “the city continues to be a hotbed for tech-minded workers.”
