Irving Heritage District to get 420-units and retail

Irving Heritage District Site for New Mixed-Use Project

The Lafferty Companies is finally pulling the trigger on an ambitious $52 million project that will include a multifamily community and retail.

The Phoenix development company has been wrangling with the town for over five years to find the right mix of housing and commercial. First off, the company will build a $40 million 194-unit apartment community. Phase II will call for 12,000 square feet of retail and some loft apartments above the shops. Construction is expected to get going early 2023.

The Irving Heritage District is leading redevelopment efforts for downtown Irving. The district includes the downtown corridor, DART’s TRE station, South Irving Library and Irving Heritage House. The Heritage District is also home to the Irving Archives and Museum, Millennium Fountain and Centennial Park.
