The Irvine Spectrum might get another hotel — a $100-million Marriott. R.D. Olson Development is proposing to build the asset next door to the Courtyard at Marriott that it developed in the last year.

The firm is proposing a facility with 15 stories and 250 rooms that is forecast to cast around $100 million. It will be full service, have a rooftop bar, valet parking and poolside cabanas.

A city commission needs to give the project its final approval.

Meanwhile Olson is building several hotels around the state, and has assets in Tustin, Huntington Beach, Burbank and other locales.
