Irvine Company Inks Deal with Expanding Texas CPA Firm in San Diego
Houston-based Weaver expanded its San Diego footprint and relocated to a new location at the Irvine Company Office Properties’ The Plaza. The 2,000-square-foot space at 4370 La Jolla Village Dr. will allow the national CPA and advisory firm to serve clients in its energy compliance services (ECS) practice, with particular emphasis on services related to California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS).
The CPA firm has 12 offices coast to coast, including three in SoCal. It considers the San Diego office a key to a national growth strategy and reflects its commitment to serving the regional business community long term. Ashley Player, P.E. is a partner in Weaver’s ECS group in San Diego and will be charged with building the practice on the West Coast.
Weaver’s John Mackel says, “Weaver’s reputation and experience in energy compliance nationally gives us a foothold to expand our brand and services on the West Coast, and Ashley and her team are dedicated to that goal.”
The deal was brokered by Citadel Partners’ Scott Morse. The Plaza is a 17-acre workplace community featuring three towers and three campus-style office buildings totaling roughly 825,000 square feet.
