Irvine Co.’s The Launch Campus ‘Takes Off’
“The Launch” has taken off, with a host of tech companies and other enterprises landing at the reimagined 120,000-square-foot campus on the site of Irvine Company’s former 1970s-era Airport Business Center.
Construction of the revamped, 60,000-square-foot 18600 MacArthur Blvd. was completed in April; and its twin, 18650 MacArthur, is on schedule for completion in the fall. The first customers started moving in early May. Both buildings, along with Bank of America and Union Bank branches that make up “The Launch,” front the airport on MacArthur Boulevard.
Irvine Company Office Properties’ Steve Case says, “Growth companies view their workplace communities as an extension of their brands, a place not just to work but to help communicate their identities as they seek to recruit and retain top talent in a competitive market.”
The project has already attracted such companies as SAA interiors + architecture, Truinject, Juxto, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, DevOps, Nebulaworks and Redshift Rendering Technologies.
