Irvine Co., Lyft Introduce On-Demand Ride Program
Irvine Company is partnering with Lyft to offer access to on-demand rides. The pilot program is expected to make public transportation a viable option for more people.
Irvine Company will provide its office customers with Lyft credits to get to and from train stations and Santa Clara Square, the new 1.7-million-square-foot workplace community in Santa Clara, CA.
Commuters to the 100-acre mixed-use community can use the Lyft mobile app to request rides for on-demand pick up or drop-off from work to nearby Caltrain stations, Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor trains and Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains.
Irvine Co.’s Todd Hedrick says, “This innovative partnership is a game changer, because it provides our customers with an easier way to use public transportation to get to and from work.”
