Irvine Co. Gets Pumped for the Holidays

One major owner of Orange County retail properties is gearing up for the holidays, hoping to attract more and more shoppers.

The Irvine Co. has scheduled special events at its Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum and The Market Place retail centers to draw additional shoppers from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. A DJ will be playing at midnight on Black Friday at the Spectrum, while The Market Place will have the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks lighting three specially-decorated trees that will be up until Jan. 3. Not to be left out, Fashion Island will bring in Santa, much to the delight of youngsters.
